Our service tech Ian was courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. He thoroughly inspected the furnace and found one faulty component that was replaced on the spot under warranty. He went above and beyond by offering to replace the humidifier canister that was due soon, saving us another service call that we had planned next month. Kept us informed at every step, and left us very satisfied with the service. We're glad that we have the service plan with Comfort Matters.

Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation. Blower wheel in furnace is dirty reducing air flow/efficiency, pulled and cleaned blower wheel. Reassemble and tested operation. Recommend an electronic air filter, air purifier, and a surge protector.
AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Added a whole system surge protector to the furnace and a blower motor surge protector. Also added drain pan treatment to the indoor coil. Removed and replaced the motor booster for an upgraded version, added locking caps to the outdoor unit. Also added vent protection to the furnace exhaust vent, this will help keep unwanted critters from entering the exhaust system.

Replaced Honeywell T6 thermostat under warranty. Connected the homeowners thermostat to their Honeywell Home app as well.

Performed precision furnace tuneup. Checked igniter, flame sensor, burners, cleaned out water drain trap, took all amp draws, and then a full combustion analysis. Everything seems to be working at this time. Replaced anode rod on water heater and checked for leaks.
Furnace precision tune up. Pulled and cleaned burners. Inspected heat exchanger for any visual defects, did not find any at this time. Tested ignition assembly components, including flame safety, for proper tolerance ranges. Cleaned out condensate trap. Checked all remaining electrical inside of the unit, measured motor amp draws for correct operating range. Inspected blower wheel for dirt and debris. Checked airflow for proper air movement. Measured combustion and gas pressure for safe levels. Ensured temperatures were within manufacture desired performance. System is heating and operating with no issues at this time. The main flame safety sensor was replaced under a parts and labor warranty due to the old flame sensor testing out of range, the new flame sensor is testing within manufacturer limits. Steam humidifier precision tune up. Removed the old canister and replaced it with a new one. Replaced rubber O-ring in the drain assembly. Inspected and cleaned the drain valve/ port. I
Run new combustion air from mechanical room, through closet, and out side of garage.
Arrived to find furnace in lockout due to not registering a flame. Checked flame safety sensor to find it failed and not registering flame. Replaced flame safety sensor and tested operation. Talked to tech support as we have had this problem here previously. I performed several tests to make sure it’s not an issue with the equipment. Ground and voltage testing where it should be. Tech support and I came to the conclusion that something in the environment is coating sensor and ruining it. Combustion air intake runs into attic and I am unable to see where it comes out. We recommend running a new combustion air from mechanical room to side of garage so we are able to bring in fresh air and help prevent this issue from happening again. Quote is attached.
