Performed seasonal precision tune up on heating systems; cleaned burners, tested ignition components, adjusted gas levels, tested safety circuits, checked indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operations. Returning next week to clean blower wheels on both furnaces. System replacement is recommended. Humidifier precision tune up and cleaning. Remove current water pad, clean off pad housing and water distributor. Clean out humidifier box. Clear out drain line. Replace with new water pad. Test operation.

Perfomed AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Found ac unit to below on refrigerant charge. Also found TXV bulb in indoor coil un insulated. This means that since installed, ac has not been running as it should. Due to coil not being an easily accessible coil, did not insulate bulb. Even if charged with refrigerant, ac would not operate correctly. Brandon will meet with you Thursday the 15th for replacement ac options.

Furnace and ac was not operating upon arrival. After further diagnostics I and conversations with the customer I found that the blower motor was not running when it should be. I confirmed that the blower motor has failed with the manufacture. I then ran diagnostics on the ac and found that the motor booster and the motor starter are both testing out of the manufacture range. This means that these parts are closer to failing than they are to being good. Spoke with customer and highly recommended looking into replacement of the system instead of making any repairs, customer wanted to replace the blower motor for the time being. Once the motor was replaced I started the system up and ran further diagnostics, as of now everything is up and working.

Customer informed me that AC. wasn’t working and there was a buzzing noise when it was trying to run. Upon inspection, I discovered the buzzing noise was due to the compressor trying to start. However, compressor was unable to start because of failed start assist kit. I replaced the start assist kit with new warranty part and tested operation. AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation.

Ac was operating upon arrival. After speaking with Justin he noted that the thermostats were always reaching the temperature he had it set to. Also let me know that centerpoint was out and believed the zone panel to be failed. However after I went through the systems operation and reviewing the wiring schematics I determined that the system was operating the way it is intended to with no problems. What was happening is that the zone panel has a temperature sensor connected that runs into the duct work to make sure the furnace doesn’t get to hot, and that the ac doesn’t get to cold. The reason the ac would run for a while then shut off then come back is due to this sensor. I then proceeded to inspect the outdoor unit and the rest of the inside and found that everything is up and working just fine.

Replaced failing blower motor and thermostat. Wired all high and low voltage connections. Installed new blower starter. Tested operation upon completion. Thermostat turns on and off correctly and all other heating operation is normal at this time. System replacement is encouraged.

Customer explained how furnace kept running and was 85F in home. Thermostat was set to off upon arrival. Turned it on to test operation. It did turn on and off correctly, but there is other concerns. Thermostat does not appear to be working correctly. It read 51F, my thermometer read 64F. Also found blower motor starter failing as well as blower motor. The changes of there being any other issues with system other than what has been found is possible. Due to overall condition of equipment and also with system be 30 years old, replacement is highly encouraged over repairs. Provided estimates to customer.

Upstairs furnace- Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation. Blower wheel in furnace is dirty reducing efficiency. Downstairs furnace- Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation. Blower motor booster is out of range and not giving correct power to motor. Replaced blower motor booster. Flame safety sensor out of range and barely detecting flame. Replace flame safety sensor and tested operation. Due to age and condition of system, replacement is recommended.

Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation. With the current age and style of furnace, I highly recommend looking into having this system replaced to avoid any high costing repair bills or safety hazards from occurring.
