I repaired a Rheem RP1418AJ1NA air conditioner today. The condenser fan motor had failed, so I replaced it with an authentic Rheem 51-23286-11 motor. I also cleaned the condenser coils using Nu-Calgon CalClean coil cleaner. After reassembling the unit, I checked the refrigerant charge and added 8 oz of R-22 to bring pressures within specifications. Finally, I verified proper cooling operation and recorded superheat and subcooling measurements in the service report.
