Performed AC maintenance on 2009 Goodman condenser. Upon my maintenance there were a few points of concern is that were addressed with the homeowners. 5 ton Condenser- 1. Starter showed signs of pitting and burn marks on contact points this is due to wear and tear from high amperage pull overtime from system. 2. System Contained R22 refrigerant which was completely phased out January 1, 2020 at the moment pressures were in range 3. Cleaned off condenser coil 4. Measured condenser fan motor amperage and found that it was on the brink of over amping and is also overheating at the moment. This component rejects heat from the system 5. Measured compressor amperage and found that it was using 16 amps which is fairly high considering the max is 25. This is the reason why the system is so loud 6. Power disconnect was not supplied with any fuses or surge protection, Neither was the indoor unit protected. 7. Filter was heavily Caked in dust and debris, Recommend filter swapped out every 1 to 3
