Arrived on site to perform diagnostic on a 2004 airflow unit. Client stated unit is old and has been in home for 3 years and has maintenance it. Unit was running and recently unit started making loud noises and then would stop at times and then run okay other times. Advised client wounding inspect how unit is running and condition. Inspected electrical. Found secondary motor control is completely bad. Unit was only operational due to a old compressor booster that was barley turning it on but wouldn’t run right out new one in to turn unit on. . Stater was burnt Up from age and operation in past years. Booster kit was old but was some what still operational. Fan motor has dried up oil spots from it leaking. Motor is pulling max amps and is going to start to over amps from working at its max. Could fail in future. Run amps on compressor are pulling 16.5 and max rated at 20. Advised due to age and condition unit can get to max when it get really out outside and advised compressor is on b
