Performed AC maintenance on a 2 system house. Living area unit is a Duncane. System was cooling 20 degrees. Indoor amps are ok as well as the start component. Outdoor unit starter had burned out the load wires. Start component was completely dead and the fan motor was leaking oil. The customer decided to go with a full rejuvenation at this time in order to buy some time until replacement. Bedroom area system is a new Lennox. System is cooling 20 degrees, filter was very dirty due to construction in the house. Filter was changed today. Outdoor unit was chemically washed. Electrical components are good. Refrigerant levels are in range. Compressor and fan amps are healthy. Surge protection was added to this system. Both units were tested and running at end of appointment.
