Performed AC diagnostic on 2001 Rheem condensing unit. Upon arrival Client trimmed bushes around condenser so that I may have access to unit. Client states that system is only blowing out hot air and the only repairs that have been done in the past was replacing a capacitor and rewiring due to the rats chewing it up. System has not been maintained the last four years. During my Troubleshooting I found multiple points of concern of concerns that addressed. 4 ton condenser- 1. Dual secondary motor control is defective on hermetic side terminal. This may have happened due high amp draw and even potentially power outages. 2. Starter has slight pitting and burn marks on contact points. 3. Compressor is pulling significantly high amps putting it at a higher risk of failing 4. Indoor blower motor Has oil leakage coming from bearing 5.
