Performed AC diagnostic on 2004 carrier package unit. Upon my diagnostic I found that supply vents were supplying ambient air and not blowing cold. Upon further investigation of proceeding to the roof where the package unit was located I first checked my power supply and found that the fuse had been blown and needed to be replaced. Replaced fuse in system fired up and begin cooling all the compressor was cooling at 26 A which is incredibly high and this will cause the fuse to pop again in the future. System also contains R22 refrigerant which is no longer being used is phased out. Advise customer that fuse will pop again due to compressor over everything and energy bills will be very high due to the power consumption of the system. Recommended a compressor swapped out or looking at system replacement if repair is not cost-effective. Upon departure system is fully operational and cooling home.
