Arrived on site to diagnose a 2005 carrier system for upstairs. Condenser located in back yard. Furnace and evaporator coil located in attic. Upon arrival spoke over with client and he stated just recently he noticed house warm and went to upstairs thermostat and led display was blank.he went to go buy a new once as he was gunna replace himself but before doing so he tired downstairs thermostat and swapped it over to upstairs and system did turn on it then stated condenser would not operate and fan would barely move and a loud noise was made so he shut system of since. Upon arrival had client cycled upstairs for cooling to identify which is which and condenser would not turn on or fan would not spin . Advised I would inspect both indoor and out door unit.
