Arrived on site to diagnose a no cooling 2004 upstairs unit. Spoke over with client and husband stated unit stopped cooling and they have only maintenances units couple years ago when he had repairs made. Cycled unit and found both indoor and out door turning. Inspected out side unit and found compressor was not on. Inspected electrical compartment. Found primary burnt up and black. Recommend replacing. Secondary secondary motor control is completely dead and why unit is not turning on. Replaced and test and checked pressure. Found compressor pulling 12-13 amps and advised client Conor is going bad and reason why secondary motor control keeps going bad. Advised client Compressor is on borrowed time. Pressure are good and home is cooling at 23 degrees. Went over all findings and areas of concerns with client. Client is aware why unit is not turning on. Client stated they are not trying to replace even though they know replacement would be best but as husband stated he is just trying to
