Returned to replace drain pan. Removed disassembled duct board plenum. Lifted evap coil removed old primary drain pan. Installed new primary drain pan. Secured evap coil to new drain pan. Reattached plenum and drain lines. Poured water onto drain pan to ensure proper water flow and drainage. Water is draining correctly. With coil compartment opened, found that the TXV metering device has been removed entirely from the system. The system is still operating normally and cooling, but long term the unit can potentially have shortened life span due to refrigerant just free flowing inside the unit. Made homeowner aware of concern. System is operational upon departure.
