Performed AC/furnace maintenance on 17-year-old Goodman system. During the maintenance I came across a few points of concerns that were addressed. 5 ton Goodman- 1. Found that secondary motor control was Extremely weak and leaking oil. This is causing the compressor and fan to use more power 2. High voltage relay showing signs of pitting and burn marks on line voltage wiring due to high amperage pull. Contact points are also burned out 3. Fan motor is Over amping due to bearing wearing out. 4. System contained R22, a phased out refrigerant as of January 1, 2020 5. Condenser was completely plugged up with hair and debris 6. Power disconnect also broken Furnace- 1. Indoor blower cabinet covered in dust and debris due to washable filter not filtering out particles 2. Heat exchanger show no signs of cracks or heat stress marks Discussed options and repairs either Jaime. He would prefer system options and relocation of both systems rather than repairs due to age.
