Arrived on site to perform spring tune up on a 2000 unit Goodman unit. Client stated no issues just wanted system serviced. Condenser in front yard and info unit located in hallway. Washed condenser coil I got side and out. Primary is worn out on pittings. Secondary is good but borderline going bad. Fan motor is leaking oil and has some pleat could be going bad soon. Start up are in range. Run amps are in range but high side. Checked pressure and found them good and cooling at 19 degrees. Unit uses R-22 which is no longer In production. Indoor unit good. Blower motor old and has debris. Replaced filter and cycled unit. Went over all findings and recommendations with client. Client is aware of how unit is running and conditions. Client did hold off for now as he wants to talk it over with wife as he is considered replacement. He will call us back when he’s ready. System is operational and cooling for now but inefficient due to age and worn out parts. Is operational upon departure.
