Performed diagnostic on 18 year old York unit. System is not cooling. Homeowner mentioned that we came out here last year and replaced some parts, and unit was working for a bit and then failed a month or so after but never called us back in. Advised that because he didn’t call us out at that time unfortunately there is no longer any warranty on any work performed at the time, given if it is the same issue. Cycled thermostat for cooling, unit is completely unresponsive. Checked for power at indoor unit. Found a bad transformer not giving the unit any low voltage power. Also found a low secondary motor control for indoor motor. Evap coil and blower wheel are extremely dirty. Homeowner is selling the home, so he is only wanting to do what ever is absolutely necessary and is also not interested in replacing the unit. Replaced transformer and secondary motor control. System kicked on. Checked refrigerant pressures and found unit low on refrigerant. System uses r-22 refrigerant, and syste
