Arrived on site to perform spring tune up on a 2010 trane unit. Condenser located in back yard furnace located in hall closet. Client stated he been on vacation for couple months and just got back. Doesn't use system a lot but just wanted serviced. Washed condenser coil inside and out. Unit was dirty. Primary control was worn out pitted on contact points. Secondary control was completely dead. Unit was only starting due to Compressor booster kit. Would need to be replaced to operate efficiently. Fan motor was operating in range. Found single run secondary control was below range for fan. Compressor start up amps are good and run amps are in range. Checked pressure and are good and cooling home at 23 degrees. Inspected indoor unit found secondary Control really low for blower motor. Recommend replacing before completely fails. Blower is good and filter was dirty and replaced. No protection on indoor unit either. Cycled unit to ensure system operating.
