Performed AC diagnostic on 20-year-old train condensing unit. Upon my diagnostic I found out the house was 86° upon arrival found that indoor blower was blowing air although hot air I then proceeded outside to find that the condensing unit was not on. Further investigation showed that the capacitor on the hermetic side was blown and this is why the compressor was not moving refrigerant up and down The System. Replaced run capacitor and system is up and operational although it was slightly low on R22 refrigerant charge. Added in approximately 1 pound of refrigerant in house had exactly a 20° split in home. Also cleaned off condensing coil’s outside to improve subcooling. Upon departure system is fully operational and cooling but may experience problems down the road the systems are only designed for 10 to 15 years after that failure is possible.
