Arrived on site to perform diagnostic on 14 year old system. Met with daughter, parents are the homeowners. Father was not home. System stopped cooling yesterday. Inside is just blowing cold air. Cycled system for cooling. Found outdoor unit unresponsive. Checked for power and found a blown fuse. Replaced fuse to continue diagnostic and figure out why the fuse had blown. Amp draws on compressor are normal. Condenser fan motor amp draws are high and out of range, and fan motor has started to leak oil. Primary motor control has burning and pitting at contact points. Secondary motor control is out of range for compressor side. Refrigerant levels are within range and system is producing proper temperature split. System is operating at this time, but could use a good maintenance and a couple parts should be changed out to keep it from working hard enough to where the fuse could pop again. Went over findings and recommendations with daughter. Her dad was at work so she could not make w decis
