Arrived on site to perform FAU maintenance on 16 year old carrier system. System is original to home. Upon arrival homeowner mentioned that he has noticed lately that the system does not appear to be heating all that well and would also like that checked. Cycled system, system fire up and went through proper heating sequence. Flames kicked on and remained on for about 1 minute, but indoor motor never kicked on. Checked unit electrical and components. Circuit board is sending out proper voltage for fan motor to start up, but motor does not kick on. After troubleshooting, found that medium speed on fan motor is no longer operational. Hooked up motor low speed. Motor is now kicking on with heat, but system goes into high heat lock out. System is heating, but it shuts off after it goes into high heat due to high temperature in unit. Blower motor has leaked out quite a bit of oil and is pulling in high amperage draw. Motor should be replaced. Condensation Lines do not have any condensation
