Arrived on site to perform diagnostic. Homeowner states that a piece broke off of the unit. The piece that broke off of the valve is the control knob. Valve appears to be stuck in the pilot setting and will not click on. Homeowner is going to order a valve online and just take the knob off to put it on his gas valve. Also mentioned to homeowner that gas line should be hard piped out of the furnace. Recommended ESA maintenance program. Homeowner states that they are not sure what they’re gonna be doing with the home and wants to hold off on anything. System is not operational upon departure.
