Arrived on site to diagnose a no cooling 2015 Goodman unit. Client stated unit isn’t cooling as good and airflow is coming out cold. Found bout door not turning on. Thermostat is operational in cooling mode. Found unit to be tripped from low pressure Switches that tripped lockout mode on out door unit. Reset system and cycled and unit turned on. Checked pressure On unit and found them low on charge. Advised due to age of unit possibility of a leak present and could be escaping over time. Would recommend charging up system and adding leak dye or a leak dye and sealant in case the leak is small there’s a chance it could seal it up if not leak dye is still in system and will help identify where it’s leaking. Also found secondary motor control is bad and out of range as it’s rated for a 40 and has 35 on compressor side. Advised secondary is going bad due to Compressor low on charge and working really hard. Advised client of findings and she spoke it over with husband on the phone
