Arrived on site to diagnose a no cooling 2001 comfort maker system. Spoke to client and he stated just recently system stopped producing airflow but outside unit would still turn on. Cycled unit and no air flow coming out. Advised I would inspect indoor unit. Found board was bad as it would not send 120 to turn on blower motor. By passed unit to check motor and found it pulling 10 amps and max rated at 12 and is going to be failing soon. Secondary motor control for blower is out of range and weak from blower motor over working and going bad. Blower assembly and wheel are really dirty due to the lack of maintenance not done to system in past years. Went over all find and in furnace as unit is not operating properly due to bad board. Went over all repairs and recommendations with client. Client stated they didn’t want to put a lot of money into unit that could fail at any time. As they are considering replacement and would like to get someone out to go over replacement options. Turned
