Did not perform any work customer wants the pipe to be replaced with just a standard PVC coupling with a piece of pipe to another standard PVC coupling. There’s too much liability for our company to do a repair like that because the earth has shifted and the pipe has too much pressure on it. (Which is why it cracked to begin with). the only way I would repair this pipe without worrying about the liability of it breaking again is by using 4 pvc 90s to relieve the pressure of the pipe that is shifted. Customer wants to call another company or someone who can just run a straight piece of pipe without digging anymore. I offered to fix it the way he wants but in order to do that we would need to dig up the dirt more to relieve pressure of pipe and also allow for wiggle room to slide our PVC couplings onto the new piece of pipe. That would cost more than the repair that we originally talked about. Customer would like to have another opinion.
