Respectful, knowledgeable, Covid aware

Taylor was what we expect in a service person looking at a job and giving us estimates. Monday’s scheduling hiccup unfortunately Is a concern. It, of course, had nothing to do with Taylor. He was wonderful.

Excellent Service, Great Job!

I was extremely pleased with Sam. He was polite and knowledgeable. A true credit to his Texas roots. He showed me pictures before and after doing the work, explained to me what needed to be fixed and why. Then allowed me to decide what and how much I wanted done,no pressure.

Performed furnace diagnostic 14 yr split system under home. System operational at this time. Inducer doesn’t sound great, but is working right now. Tested system it’s running ok for now. Might not be able to duplicate issue, no error codes at this time, let system run for 15 min. We have to catch it in the act. System doesn’t appear to be over heating, raised temperature in home then turned off. Could be pressure switch related... everything working ok for now. Propane tank full. 16” return duct. Duct work isn’t in great shape. Grey flex ducts, grey aluminum flex, taped not sealed. Return pushed in. Other sections of ducts falling apart. System has small air leaks, loosing efficiency.

Reset roll out again, set for Mike to come out tomorrow, tested gas pressure into unit and out. Then also with water heater on, adjusted gas pressure a bit. Went from 9.4, to 10.9 with everything running. Might want to add a low pressure cut off switch to prevent lp furnace form running if it is low on lp. Witch could help stop the soot problem. Also might need to do a cleaning if it is stopping the system from running correctly. Will know more after we do combustion test. Cycled unit on and off at tstat working for now.

Performed furnace diagnostic Trane lp package unit. Found unit had tripped, flame roll out error code. Reset system fired right up, ran system. System has some soot build up could just be from lp. Tested system system cycling on and off ok at this time. Need to get the right code correct drip leg and flex on the water heater. Need to spray paint the gas line package unit, and need to spray paint the pvc drain line package unit. Set up for testing same time..

Performed annual heating maintenance in Cool. Unit is in fair condition and showing some signs of wear but nothing major. Checked igniter and is in range and okay. Checked flame sensor and was slightly dirty so I cleaned it off. Unit was converted from natural gas to LP gas. Flue pipe is not glued and is leaking condensation onto return plenum. Condensation from these types of furnaces is very acidic and can corrode the metal and rust the metal. Checked all electrical connections and all looks well, no signs of bad or loose connections. Checked the blower motor run capacitor and is in range 35uf. There is no clean out on drain lines. Repair: Glue and seal the flue pipe on the unit. The flue is what expels the harmful gasses emitted by the furnace. This pipe should be glued to make sure all the vapors are able to escape from the basement and not travel up into the home. Also glueing the pipe will stop the acidic condensation from dripping onto the unit and plenum.
