Tom with Crystal Blue Plumbing was able to respond to our tankless water heater problem the next morning. Very good experience. Turned out to be just a lack of maintenance on my part on a 5 year old system. So we signed up for their annual maintenance program.
I'm disappointed in the cost of the repair. I am in the industry, my company represents Navien tankless, you came recommended by one of my employees. Had I known I would be paying over $600/hour for your services, I would have looked elsewhere for someone to do complete the repair.
Performed annual heating maintenance el dorado hills. 18 yr old split Goodman system attic. Black flex ducts sealed. System has smart vent. Cleaned burners and flame sensor. Hot surface ignitor replaced, blower capacitor replaced. Tested system safety features working at this time. System testing well at this time, client donâ€™t use system very much, pellet stove. 20-30-1 filter disposable, due to be changed soon. Might want to look into washable filter. So you donâ€™t have to buy another one. System is older but working for now. Eventually might want to look into replacement, due to age.
Remove old water heater, install new water heater, expansion tank, electric disconnect box, ball valve, new water flex lines, drip pan exiting the closet and ran to the garage floor, re-attach the t&p line. Also hose bib, drain clearing and clean out added. Returned to install water, fix ABS, and install new hose bibb. Removed the old water heater, installed the new water heater while bringing it up to code. Installed new ABS cleanout and snaked the kitchen line clearing the clog. Installed new hose bibb, and turned the water on while noticing a leak in the wall of the kitchen. Opened the stucco revealing poorly installed copper had burst when the water was turned on. Made copper repairs to fix the leaking copper line, customer is responsible for the stucco. With water on checked water heater and there are no leaks, connected the power and the water heater is working perfectly. Noticed a break in the ABS pipe at the kitchen but customer opted to wait on repairs for another day.
Customer had previous plumber out to make repairs to the leaking bathtub drains, he advised the customer to purchase the parts and install them herself. The customer had some water damage show up near her downstairs ceiling which might have come from the previous plumber. Customer wants two new drains installed , two new tub spouts installed, and five new 3 inch flappers installed. Provided the customer with estimates to perform work and she will contact us when they can get the work done, and after the work is complete we will have a sheetrock company out to perform repairs.
Customer has 4 to 5 toilets that need to be partially rebuilt, leaking pot filler, gas dryer connected to the gas line that is existing, and both tanklesses need to be descaled but there are no bypasses to provide such a service. Provided a maintenance plan for the units we discovered, excluded the tanklesses because of the service issue. Could not contact the customer to explain the tankless issues but provided estimates to his email and will be waiting for a response.
Customer has a leaking 50 gallon electric water heater that is about 15+ years old, and missing some needed code upgrades. Customer also has a clogged kitchen sink and the cleanout access outside has been chewed off. Provided estimates to install the water heater all up to code, and snake the kitchen line with new leanout cover and installation of hose bibb to clean up the water lines in the way. Customer is getting multiple estimates and will contact us when they decide what they want to do.

Install new Moen shower cartridge in master bath shower, put tankless water heater through a solution flush and used compressed air to clean out the burner assembly. Signed homeowner up on platinum plumbing HVAC with tankless water heater membership. Tested and everything is working properly and the homeowner is happy
Customer has a 3 year old water heater that keeps shutting off, and this time it stayed off and could not be re-lit. Called State and order parts under warranty, removed the old gas control and pilot assembly, flushed the water heater, cleaned the burner chamber, installed the gas control and pilot assembly. Turned the water on with no leaks, fired up the water heater and it worked perfectly.
Customer has a hall bathroom shower that is clogged and holds water when used, everything else in the home is draining perfectly. The shower also continuously drips when the shower is not on and needs a new cartridge installed. Presented both estimates to the customer, the customer is going to try and get the jobs approved by there insurance. After the insurance company approves the work they will contact us to come out and complete the jobs.

Customer wants a washer and dryer to be installed downstairs in there garage, upon diagnosis they have water, sewer and gas connections on that wall. The opposite wall is a courtyard which will be perfect for a hood vent for the dryer, provided two estimates for the work and the customer will contact us when they decide when they want to get the work done.
Performed annual heating maintenance, rheem split system, gas furnace attic, with original grey flex ducts in bad shape. See pictures, showed client the pictures. Tested system. System operational, went through system visual inspection ok. Tested parts. Blower capacitor 7.5@7. Hot surface ignitor 115 ohms keep an eye on it, starting to climb if gets much higher might want to replace before it fails. See attached estimate. Cleaned burners and flame sensor. Control board ok, tight wires no loose connections, no burn marks on board at this time. Filter 20-25-1 in hallway and a 5â€ 16-25 merv 11 in the unit in the attic, removed for better airflow looks to either have been installed or suppose to have been changed by 2009. Only need one filter in system. Tested system safety features. System operational at this time. Removed tape on door safety switch, so that it isnâ€™t bypassed anymore. Changed filter for client.
