I appreciate Grayson coming out and rechecking some prior work to make sure there was not a leak. There was no leak from the prior work. I think it's a grading issue.

Customer has a broken water line coming into his home at the main and underneath the home, upon diagnosis I noticed a break in the sewer line as well. Crawled underneath the home and ran copper under the home and went to pex to accommodate the small holes in which I would have to solder. Connected the 3/4 main to the main water line underneath the home and added a tee and ran 1/2 inch pex to underneath the sink. Repaired the abs 90s and noticed there was another break at a coupling further down the line, cut that out and installed a band and re-strapped the pipe. Installed a double angle stop for a kitchen faucet and a future ice maker line that the customer wanted. Connected the pipe underneath the home to the main, and turned the water on. No visible leaks and water pressure was good according to the customer, crawled back under the home after leaving the faucet on. No water line leaks underneath the hoe and the ABS was flowing without leaks as well. One year parts and labor on all t
Customer had concerns about the work we installed due to water moisture on the ground underneath the entire house I can’t find anything that would cause the water on the ground. they say maybe it’s because the house doesn’t have gutters so I ran a test on the system and We installed which was the tub and overflow we ran water to see that there were no leaks. so our portion of the job is fine I would imagine the gutters have something to do with the moisture under the house. Homeowner was happy and content with what we saw. Also I check all other plumbing to see if something old may be leaking but I didn’t discover any water leakage. They were happy and content on our diagnosis.

Customer has a 20+ year old tankless water heater that is not working as of two days ago. Pulled the cover off and cleaned out the burner chamber and checked all the components and insured that the unit is igniting. Called Takagi and they had a hard time finding info on the unit and told me the motherboard and the burner are giving an error code but the age of the unit makes it hard to get parts and expensive. Provided the customer with an estimate to install a new unit mounted on the side of the home.
Returned to install new tankless water heater, removed the old tankless and installed the new one. Brought everything but the t&p up to code, discussed with the customer we would have to drill into the side of the home and they want to avoid that. Everything else is up to code and permit is up to the customer to pull if they want to, and they understand that more work will have to be done when they do. Turned the water on with no leaks, turned the gas on and the unit tested perfectly. Customer called the shop and made the payment over the phone.
Customer has a 10+ year old tankless water heater that is working intermittently, upon diagnosis the unit is leaking from the inside of the unit. The exhaust chamber is leaking, the heat exchanger is leaking, and there are a couple other components that are leaking as well. Considering the age and the amount of components that need work recommend new tankless install and the customer agreed with the work. Tested the water to see if the calcium build up in the water is an issue, water test revealed a 3 to 4 hardness which is really good. Scheduled with a helper for tomorrow.
