Technician Taylor arrived on scene to investigate reports of a mainline blockage. Technician learn that client was having issues with the drain line and so he used a drain cleaning device that utilizes water pressure through the exterior clean out underneath the sink. client noticed he heard the water pouring out into the crawl space and so he called Crystal Blue. Technician popped crawlspace hatch and inspected with light. Technician was immediately met with standing water inside the crawl space just out of sight of the hatch entrance. Technician was able to see the 2-in original cast iron drain line had rusted out at the section where the sink feeds into it. Technician believes that the drain snake that client used busted through the already brittle cast iron. Due to the amount of standing water technician requires client to have the crawl space pumped and cleared before work can be performed.
