I diagnosed and repaired a faulty Copeland scroll compressor in a Carrier 24ABC6 central air conditioner. After testing the capacitor and contactor, I found a refrigerant leak in the evaporator coil. I sealed the leak using Rectorseal AC Leak Freeze, recharged the system with R-410A refrigerant, and replaced the filter drier. The unit now operates at peak efficiency.
