Found Heat Pump on a hard lockout. Code 4. Gauges showed a standing pressure of 49 psi. Using leak detection bubbles, found leak at 3/4 elbow on suction side. Turned thermostat off for the night. Kurt will return to repair leak. 10/27/20. Replaced 3 ft section of 3/4†copper pipe. Brazed and leak checked fittings at 300 psi nitrogen and bubble checked. Vacuumed down system to 500 microns and turned off pump to made sure vaccum would hold. Added 9lbs 7ozs of 410a . Tested heat pump in heating and cooling mode. In heating mode pressures were 299/121 at 70 degrees. Heat pump is working fine at time of service.
