Performed QA inspection on Amana Heat Pump/Air Handler. Homeowner had a Nest thermostat that they put in but wasn’t sure about the wiring. Went through the NEST thermostat and rewired. Checked all programming and tested system in Heat Pump, Cooling, and Emergency Heat. Completed checklist form in system. Corrected any issues that were found. Rewired Humidifier because it was wired to only come on when the Emergency Heat ran. Tested humidifier, condensation pump, and ez trap safety. Reviewed the installation with the homeowners. This install did not pass the QA inspection: Outdoor unit not level, trash around outdoor unit, wall penetrations not fully sealed, humidifier not wired correctly and wasn’t sealed. Customers very happy and the wife talked about how good Bill was and how he drew out all his Efficiency diagrams!
