AC working but humid in the house . When I arrived the system was running . The customer stated that the system runs fine but the humidity will not drop below 67%. I tested the system . I first walked around with a meter to test for humidity. First Floor was reading 65%and upstairs was at 68%. Thermostat was reading right at 68% humidity . I then checked for and places for humidity to come in and found nothing but a kitchen exhaust fan . I then noticed the speed of the outdoor unit not dropping when the set point was being reached . The thermostat was reading 72 degrees and I had the set point at 71 degrees . The system went from 76% to 80 then jumped up two points every minute till it hit 98 percent. I then brought the temperature to 73 and it dropped to 25 percent and shut down . The only thing I can see is that the unit is not ramping down and satisfying to fast and not dehumidifying.
