Performed Quality Assurance on Amana AC/AHU system with ductwork. Checked all duct connections to ensure they were sealed and tight. Tested condensation pump and tested EZ Trap safety. Reviewed installation with homeowner. Customer very happy with the whole installation process. Completed checklist form in system. This install passed the QA. Will need to test system in Spring for the Six Month Inspection to verify refrigerant.
Installed new Amana air handler and air conditioner. Installed new air handler on new return box. Installed new 10x25 return drop and capped top off. Installed new 6x12x8 return grill. Added two floor registers and coupling flex runs. Installed new 20x8 supply trunk and supply plenum. Installed new take offs with dampers and attached flex. Installed new condensate pump vinyl tubing and ez trap. Broke R for safety’s. Installed new wire and breaker for outlet. Flushed line set and pressure tested system, evacuated below 500 microns. No refrigerant added lineset less than 15 feet. Tested system in cooling and tested condensate pump. Too cold out to do official test out. System install went over with customer. Final payment collected.
Performed Precision Heating Tune Up on Gas Fired Boiler. Removed Burners and Ignition Assembly. Cleaned Burners and Ignition Assembly. Inspected Heat Exchanger which is clear but is very rusted. Burners and Burner area are rusted as well. Put system in operation and performed Combustion Analysis on Boiler. Combustion Results were all within standards. Tested Expansion Tank for Air Pressure. While the system was running the Gas Valve Soleniod began opening/closing multiple times. The 24 Volts to the Main Valve at the Ignition Control was quickly dropping in/out. Before I could verify the cause of the issue it stopped. Ensured all connections were tight and monitored the Boilers operation. The system was working with no issues. Spoke with Homeowner about issue as it was occurring. If this begins to happen again we will have to further troubleshoot the cause of the issue.
