Service call that there was “Yellowing†around the Registers on the Second and Third Floors. Spoke with Homeowner about issue upon arrival. System was turned off. Turned System to Cooling and proceeded to the Attic to inspect. Found Several of the Flex Connectors were not pulled over the MV-4 Registers in the Attic and were not properly insulating the Flex Duct. Pulled the Insulation over the accessible runs as much as possible. Most of the Flex runs are pulled tight and there is not a lot of additional slack to pull fully over the MV-4 Registers. Packed additional attic insulation around the Registers and Flex Connections to further insulate. The Registers for the Second Floor are not accessible. Increased the Blower Motor Fan Speed from Medium to High to increase the Air Flow and slightly decrease the Supply/Return Differential. Would recommend insulating the attic and if necessary replacing the Flex Runs with new R-8 Flex Duct So that it can be pulled tightly over the Registers.
