Performed Six Month Inspection on recently installed Amana AC system. Cleaned washable filter for system. Had noted from Quality Assurance that a Surge protector for the Outdoor Unit had not been installed. Installed a new Surge Protector and replaced Electrical whip from disconnect to the outdoor unit. Completed all wiring connections. Put system in operation and measured refrigerant charge. Refrigerant readings were within standard. Used some stone to level out outdoor unit where it had settled on the right side. During installation of the system the UV System stopped working. Installed a new Premier One Single Bulb UV Light. Installed a Transformer for UV Light and completed all connections. Reviewed UV Light operation and indicator lights with homeowner. Completed Six Month AC inspection on system. System operating to manufacturer standards upon completion.

Performed Quality Assurance on recently installed AC/Gas Furnace system. Completed checklist form in system. Tested UV Light system and found power at the outlet but no voltage at the Ballast. Could not fully check the UV Light because there was no UV Bulb installed. The Ballast appears to have failed on the UV Light. Please see notes on checklist form for overview of installation. The issues with the outdoor unit would not pass QA inspection. **When we return in spring for the Six-Month AC Inspection please leave a note to bring an Outdoor Surge Protector, and conduit/wiring to replace the electrical whip outside. Will also need to try to level outdoor unit so bring 1 bag of stone. Also need to talk to Joe about the UV Light.**

When I arrived, performed room co test. House had been aired out for about 30 minutes when I arrived. After performing room co test for about 20 minutes, found no co in the house. Turned on furnace and performed combustion test in exahaust pipe. Readings came out ok. Put combustion analyzer probe in the duct work and was picking up up to 5 ppm in the duct while furnace was running. Shut down furnace and called homeowner about findings. Told him that there has to be a crack in the heat exchanger in order to have co in the duct work. Shut down furnace and let our office know situation. Recommend replacing furnace and a/c together due to age of the system. Also performed combustion test on water heater also, checked out ok.

Service call that there was a noise coming from the Furnace/Indoor Unit. Upon arrival found thermostat set to 74 in Cooling Mode and the Indoor Temperature was at 80 Degrees. The Blower Motor was not running and the Outdoor Unit was running. Found Blower Motor had seized and failed. Removed old Blower Motor and installed a new 115 V 1/2 HP 3 Speed Blower Motor. Made all wiring connections and installed a new 10 Mfd Blower Motor Capacitor. Put system back in operation to test. After running system, found the Refrigerant Charge was low. System was only producing about a 12 Degree Supply Versus Return Air Temperature Differential. Added 2lbs of R-22 to System, Charging by Superheat for a Piston. Refrigerant levels increased to normal levels and Air Temperature Differential Increased to 16 Degrees. System is in poor condition. Due to age and condition of system, would recommend replacement of the Gas Furnace AC System before any further issues occur.

No heat service call in Woodlyn. After troubleshooting the Ducane Gas Furnace, found the Control Board and Thermostat were not working properly and needed to be replaced. Installed a new Honeywell Thermostat and a new Honeywell Universal Control Board.
