Call for system not keeping up. On arrival system was off. I turned on to check operation and the system did energize. I checked the filter and blower wheel and found the blower wheel completely dirty, clogged and negatively impacting air flow and system performance. I pulled the blower out to see evaporator coil and it is also very dirty. would need to start with the blower cleaning and evaporator coil to get a accurate refrigerant readings, this is a 2 technician job, due to the age, condition, efficiency, amount of cleanings and the fact that R22 started phase out January 1, 2020.

Call for system freezing up, on arrival system was running, checked pressures, psi 47/176, SH49, SC5, system is low on charge 1 to 3lbs of R22, blower is dirty and covered in micro biological growth that is negatively affecting system performance, Evaporator Coil is leaking, rusted and deteriorating, system is in overall poor condition and it is recommended to consider replacing and upgrading system due to age, condition, efficiency, and the fact the system is leaking R22 refrigerant that has been phased out as of January 1, 2020. Pictures Attached.
