Heat maintenance. Checked blower motor, heat strips, compressor and fan all are in accordance to manufacturer specifications. Pressures are within range to outdoor ambient temps. Homeowner states there is an intermittent issue with the compressor going off and having to wait to come back on then runs fine. I advised we could set up a later date to come back with service manager she said she would speak to her husband and call back to set up time if they feel necessary. System is running correctly and efficiently at time of departure.

Installed flared reducer fitting with gasket and connected refrigerant lines. Utilized torque wrench and secured to appropriate ft-lb as indicated in installation manual. Pressure tested system, found a previously unknown leak on lineset connection. Secured to appropriate ft-lb as indicated in installation manual. Pressure tested system again, this time with R410 added to the nitrogen, to 400 psi. Conducted another leak search with refrigerant detector, none found. Pressure test held at 400 psi for 10 minutes Conducted vacuum, pulled system down to 498 microns Added 6lbs, 2 oz of R410 refrigerant and tested systems. All 3 heads have a 20+ degree temperature rise in heating Note : all blower wheels had been cleaned previously during the call where we identified the improper use of gas fittings

Identified cause of leak to be fittings used were for natural gas lines. Need to get 1/2 to 3/8 flared fittings

Removed old equipment and installed new Rheem 3 ton 2 stage heat pump and air handler. Installed new return plenum with 16x20x1 filter, new emergency drain pan, new pan safety switch, new coil safety switch, and new composite pad for outdoor unit.reconnected supply plenum, high voltage, low voltage, drain line and all return ducts. Tested system operations in heating and cooling, set proper charge.

Arrived to inspect and repair a 3 indoor headed minisplit. Unit is low on refrigerant, has a standing pressure of 132 / 46*, should be 170 / 60* based on indoor and outdoor ambient. Searched all 3 indoor coil and flare fittings as well as outdoor coils and flare fittings. Identified 2 leaks at outdoor flare reducers. During initial installation some type of putty was used on fittings and has now dried and is leaking. Photos attached Need to return to fix leaks and clean indoor blower wheels. Leaks are at flare fittings, it is possible the flares were over tightened at installation. Tightening of those fittings presents a risk that the flares will tear and system can lose a portion or all of the refrigerant charge. Completed moving outdoor unit from blocks to pad
