Performed comprehensive AC maintenance on a residential unit. Checked refrigerant levels using a manifold gauge and added R-410A as needed. Cleaned condenser and evaporator coils with a foaming coil cleaner for optimal heat transfer. Inspected and tightened all electrical connections. Lubricated motor and blower bearings. Cleared the condensate drain to prevent water buildup. Replaced the air filter and calibrated the thermostat for accurate temperature control. Tested the system to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
Performed maintenance on an HVAC system reported for no cooling. Inspected the unit and found a dirty air filter and clogged condenser coils, both restricting airflow. Replaced the air filter and thoroughly cleaned the condenser coils. Checked the refrigerant levels and added R-410A to reach optimal pressure. Examined the electrical components, including capacitors and contactors, for proper operation. After completing these tasks, tested the system to ensure it was cooling efficiently.
Responded to a no cooling call on a Goodman GSX160361 air conditioner. Checked capacitor with a meter and found the dual run capacitor shorted. Replaced faulty 35/5 MFD capacitor with new Titan Pro replacement. Verified proper operation of compressor and condenser fan motor after new capacitor install. Performed unit cooling cycle test, measuring 22°F superheat and 10°F subcooling within expected parameters. Recommended customer schedule annual preventative maintenance to help extend equipment life. Provided quote for capacitor and labor.
