Air burnt out Thursday night. Call Matt and he came out early Friday and give us a very generous proposal for a complete heating and air unit. Said if we decided by 3 pm he would have is team out Monday morning and they would be done by 2 pm. They showed up at 8:10 Monday morning and the job was complete by 1:45 pm. Their staff was efficient, tidy, respectful and very professional. We loved them and would most certainly recommend Family Heating and Air!

The start assist was bad and the condenser was full of cottonwood. Did the maintenance on AC and replaced the start assist. Blower blades at furnace and the evaporator coil are extremely dirty.
B1 Clean & Check Service Tested AC system. Inspected inside and outside units. Furnace has accumulation of dust on blower blades. AC is running good. Cleaned out debris from inside unit. Everything is working well at this time. Recommendations Pulling and cleaning blower wheel.
AC preventative maintenance in Indianapolis
Replaced valve. Pressure checked for other leaks. Vacuumed all moisture out of system and passed decay test. Everything is working well at this time.
Changed eev board and sensors. Pressures look good. 7 degree subcooling 19 degree temp drop. Everything is working well at this time.
Wireless sensor having trouble communicating. Replaced batteries everything cleared and is working well at this time.
Replaced capacitor under warranty. Everything is working well at this time.
Performed spring tuneup, renewed today with this being first visit on new contract. Blower wheel has substantial buildup due to filter being very dirty. Changed customer provided filter. Recommend changing filter more frequently or upgrading to electronic air filter as well as pulling blower assembly to clean. Jill would like to have blower assembly pulled and cleaned on fall visit.
Upon arrival found system incredibly low on 410A. Unit holds 9lbs of refrigerant, provided estimate to add up to 3lbs and perform leak search. Condenser coil is very dirty and will also need cleaned before being able to accurate. Cleaned condenser and performed Electronic leak search. Found leak at txv hookup on suction line. Tightened core and replaced cap. Added 5 additional pounds totalling 8lbs of 410a. Performed second leak search and no additional leaks detected. System is operating properly at this time.
Odor reported is silicone. Odor will dissipate. Each vent is blowing at 48°. Refrigerant charge is correct, start assist is within manufacture specs and amp draws are within manufacture specs. No issues found at this time and system is operating correctly at this time.
Called out for no ac, homeowner heard buzzing and smelt burning at condenser. Found common side of capacitor with terminals and lead arced off. Also found lead to compressor arced at terminals. Condenser fan motor has substantial oil residue on base. Due to age of system and phased out refrigerant, no repair option is available. Matt has already quoted system and honored previously quoted price of $5530 for replacement of condenser and coil.
