Over and above.

At first I believed the cost of upgrading to a tankless water heater was on the high end but worth it. After watching 3 technicians would together for 9 hours. Remove the old 75 gallon tank up stairs and at the end, The work was very professional, neat and clean and the area free of any material. Exactly what I expected from Folkes.

Customer states that current 40 gallon water heater is over 20 years old. Corrosion was observed on top of tank and customer was having difficulty with water heater staying lit. Recommended to replace existing unit with an upgraded 50 gallon natural gas water heater. Will install new water heater and required expansion tank with new ball valves. Will also remove the exiting tank and dispose of same. Installed Bradford White 50 gallon gas natural vent water heater, expansion tank with 3/4 ball valves, supported expansion tank with threaded rod and copper hanger. 3 inch flue pipe to vent into existing stack. Also installed water heater on drip pan. Pressurized system and checked for leaks. Checked for gas leaks - negative. Ignited pilot and water heater burner and ran to customer had hot water; and adjusted setting to customers preference. Cleaned up work area and received payment in full. Customer was very happy with all work performed.

Service for leaking water on the water main. Inspected main water line in basement and found that the section of 1/2 inch copper line stubbing out of a cement block wall before the water meter had a pinhole leak. Customer had temporarily stopped the leak with a piece of rubber hose and clamps. Customer was provided an estimate to properly repair this section of incoming line. Estimate included a pressure reducing valve, a ball valve both before and after the meter, and check valve. Estimate also included the permit fee involved with Town. We will schedule with Town for water shut off at street which is required to perform this repair. Customer accepted the offer for all required work; and will contact office to schedule work.

Ran hot and cold water in 2 sinks for at least 15 to 20 minutes. At no point I heard anything out of the ordinary, Except for cracking sounds resulting from calcium buildup at base of water heater. Included estimate for replacement, that cracking sound is a indication of mineral deposits. Did not hear any noise is coming from water heater. Let unit cycle twice while water was running. System operational.

Service for a sink hole in the front yard. Customer would like to have us inspect the sewer main to see if there is a break or separation in the pipe. There is a double wye cleanout just outside the home. Sent the camera both ways up and down the sewer main and found that the 4” clay sewer line is in great condition for the most part except the last 25 feet before the sewer main under the road and there is a few little separations but that is leading to a lot of roots building up in the pipe. Sewer is currently free flowing but will definitely back up completely within a couple months. Recommend hydro jetting the sewer main from the clean outs and then for the more permanent repair, we would put an apoxy liner inside the pipe in the areas where the roots are penetrating. There is always a possibility that the pipe above the roots that we cannot see is broken or severely cracked. If the pipe is in that poor of condition the hydro jetter may break the pipe completely in which case the

The customer reset the error code and the system was operating normally. Cleared the condensate line to make sure that wasn’t an issue and checked the exhaust and fresh air vents. System is operational after multiple start ups and running the system a while.

Arrived to customers home and same issue as yesterday, boiler takes a long time to heat up due to conversion from oil to gas, customer had turned boiler on a little awhile ago and water temperature was at 100, increased temperature on triple aquastat to 150 and when it got close lowered it down to 120 trying to circulate hot water to boiler pipes began to get hot, house reached temperature, set low side of aquastat to 150 instead of 100 so at least it won’t work as hard to warm up, customer just has to be patient.
