Professional and extremely thorough
Very Knowledgeable and professional
Everyone I've dealt with on the work I need to have done have provided great service. Tony was thorough in diagnosing the problem and quickly connected me to someone to discuss plan options with me to fix the problem. Billy was detailed in explaining the plan options to me so I was able to make the appropriate choice at the best price possible. He also ensured someone was available ASAP to install the equipment I needed to fix the problem I had. Matt completed installation of the new equipment for me. The installation required a long time but Matt was very professional and did a quality job. After the installation, Matt removed my old equipment and my basement was spotless from his clean up. Even though it was a long day for him with installing the new equipment, Matt took the time to test and ensure it was working properly. He also took time to explain to me how the new equipment works. I feel so fortunate that I got my service from Folkes Home Services and have already made recommendations to friends.
Tony was patient, answered my questions and explained things to me in simple terms so I understood. He also followed through very quickly to ensure I got the complete service I needed.
He was very courteous and professional. Answered all my questions

The overall staff are very professional and courteous. The service so far has been great and the prices fit my budget
Customer was saying he had ran out of oil and wasn’t getting any warm air, turned oil furnace on at thermostat and heard furnace kick on, went to furnace primary control wasn’t tripped and flame was proven, let furnace run, checked all supply vents which had a temperature of 115 degrees, cycled thermostat and one time thermostat didn’t register, thermostat has a short in it, replaced with new digital thermostat p, showed customer how to use it, and tested system, everything came on cycled system no issues to report.
Installed peerless oil fired boiler with Beckett burner, all new components required by boiler installation, pipping and wiring as needed for a 3 zone circulator pump system. Started heat and purged heating lines. Everything working properly.
Performed ac tune up on one system. No issues to report. System is 4 years old.
Customer tried to take apart condenser and clean, but took apart the air flow hub for condenser fan and couldn’t put it back together, adjusted, tested, system operational.
This is a estimate to replace a existing First co. evaporator coil in basemnt system.
Ac tune u x2. Cleared drains. Took temperatures, pressures, tested all components. Found first floor low on 410A. Performed leak search and detector picked up leak at evaporator coil for first floor system. Need to replace first floor evaporator coil. Second floor running normally.
Ac tune upx2. Cleared drain and trap. Tested condensate pump. Took pressures, temperatures, and all components. First floor unit, r22, compressor amps is running high, system is running rough outside, system is currently cooling normally, customer should prepare for replacement. Both systems operational. Customer did not wish take out MA for 2 oil systems.
Indoor nor outdoor units were coming on when I arrived for service. Found control board at air handler had failed. Tested blower with direct line voltage before installing new board. Installed new board. Tested unit. First floor unit had a 14° split air handler. Checked pressures at condenser, found pressures were low. Recommend charging unit with R410A refrigerant as well as a UV dye to diagnose were leak is coming from. System operational.
Cleaned and serviced oil boiler. Brushed and vacuumed heat exchanger. Inspected three zone valves, expansion tank, 2 air vents, fill valve, low-water cut off, circulator pump, and relief valve. Replaced oil filter, pump strainer, and burner nozzle. Performed combustion and efficiency test. Tested unit. System operational.
Performed annual AC tuneup. Tested unit. Unit had a 16° split at air handler. Pressures looked good. System is 32 years old. System operational.
Completed annual tune up of one ac system. Found indoor coil beginning to freeze upon arrival. Replaced air filter and brushed indoor coil. Checked refrigerant levels and found system very low on r-22. Recharged and have a 18 degree split.
Unit was very low on refrigerant. Charged system with R410A. Added UV dye for future diagnosis. System had 19° split at supply and return. Tested unit. System operational.
Outdoor unit is not running. Did not have any voltage at disconnect. Inspected both breaker boxes none of the 220V breakers were tripped. Reset every single 220 V breaker, was unable to restore power to disconnect. Recommend getting an electrician. System not operational.
Installed 2 ton 16 seer Amana heat pump with 2 ton variable speed Amana air handler with back electric heat and comfort bridge technology. New ac pad, lineset, low voltage wiring, vinyl tubing, condensate pump and drain plumbing. External TXV, Honeywell T6 thermostat. Started and tested.
Found r22 system completely empty of r22. Customer states breaker for condenser keeps tripping. Could not further diagnose issue with compressor without recharging.
