Service for toilet replacement: arrived to home to find that toilet was flushing. Arrived and found that toilet is an 18 inch rough toilet. This means that the toilet flange is 18 inches off wall. Explained to customer how we would have to special order new 16 inch rough toilet to make this installation work. She stated I had to call John and tell him. I tried calling customer 3 times. Customer never answered. We will need a half deposit to order toilet and come back to install new toilet. We will have to return to install toilet once we have material and customer gives Approval. All working properly at this time.
This is to replace the toilet upstairs This is to repair the flange Folkes arrived 12/15/2021 for a slow draining toilet. I flushed the toilet and it wasn’t draining properly. I recommended replacing the toilet. I started by turning the water off to the toilet. I then disconnected the bolts and supply line and pulled the old toilet. I noticed the flange was broken. I repaired the flange and set the new wax ring down and the set bolts down. I secured the new toilet and turned everything on and checked for leaks. I then flushed a few times and notice there was still an issue. I went up on the roof and snaked the vent it seemed to clear it up. Customer is going to keep an eye on the drains. I then thanked the customer for choosing folkes and left.
Service for toilet clogged. Inspected toilet and determined that the toilet fill valve was not working properly and required replacement. Toilet was found to be flushing normal; but advised customer that since it was filling so slowly, that multiple uses back to back would create a flush with lower than required water volume. Customer also complained of low water pressure throughout the home. Checked the pressure reducing valve (PRV) and determined that it was not operational. Suggested that this PRV also be replaced. Customer accepted estimate for replacement of toilet supply valve and PRV. Toilet supply valve was replaced and checked for leaks. Contacted office; and will need to return to replace PRV.
