Service for leaking water line in the bathroom. Arrived to the home to find water pouring out of the ceiling and the AC vent. It is the basement bathroom and the only plumbing above the area is an ice maker line. We have to cut open the ceiling to locate the leak so we know what’s leaking and what has to be repaired. After cutting open the ceiling we found that all the water lines in the home are ran through one bay of the floor joists. There is so many water lines that they strapped them close to the floor boards instead of strapping the water lines in the middle of the beam so they are safe from nails and screws. There is several nails stuck through one of the hot water lines and water is spraying everywhere. The nails were probably in the pipe from the time the house was built but after years of use and the pipes vibrating, the nails came loose and started leaking.
