Arrived and found the rollout switch tripped. Reset it and noticed the flame was running rough. Found the fresh air intake was clogged. Left the pipe off so the furnace could run. Since it’s snowing and late at night we will need to return at a later date to inspect the intake pipe.

Arrive to customers house to perform annual maintenance, changed filters strainer nozzle, ran a combustion test, scrub the heat exchanger. While running my combustion test noticed that o2 was low so I made an adjustment to the air band and get it up to 02

Remove 4” cast iron and trap and replace with new 4” pvc pipe and cleanout. Reconnected all drainage lines including (2) 2” lines from kitchen and laundry. All work checked. Also placed 2 clamps on leaking poly pipe line for ejector pump in basement to stop leaking hoses. Customer happy with all work. Payment received.

Service to clear a clogged main line that was flowing out of the top of the cleanout in basement. Inspected and determined that main line was completely clogged; and observed paper towels coming from the opening of the house trap. Cleared main line with mechanical snake and pulled out more paper towels. Blockage cleared to sewer. Checked line with camera and all was clear. Spoke with owner about the cast iron lines in the area of the trap that were observed to be backpitched and had holes in them causing sewer waters to drain out onto floor in basement. The water were being removed by a sump pump located in that area. Additional estimate provided to customer for proper repair of the rotted/leaking cast iron pipeline.

Customer said no air coming through vents, they had heat set for normal heat which is oil fired felt flu pipe which was hot, zone panel lit up, checked voltage for control board had power going to fan, used blower motor tester and couldn’t get fan to come on, system has a faulty blower motor and module, spoke with Gary will need to find dealer for furnace added service follow up form for Gary to look into.

No heat in great room on 1st floor, due to bad zone valve power head and ball, needs to be replaced, also recommend replacing other three zones valves due to corrosion on back by balls.

Cleaned and serviced gas furnace. Cleaned flame sensor, checked blower capacitor, blower motor, blower wheel, wiring, gas pressure, safety switches, and air filter. Performed combustion and efficiency test. Tested unit. System operational. Gas valve did a chattering noise. Turned off unit and re-fired. Noise went away. Gas valve seems to possibly be failing. Included estimate for gas valve replacement.

Service for main sewer line backing up. Customer noticed last night that there was water on the basement floor. Arrived to the home to find that the water is still standing in the slop sink next to the sewer main. The water is not draining at all. There’s is many sewer lines all tied into one location and then it enters a house trap and exits the house. The customer had the outside sewer main dug up and replaced a few years ago. Opened the clean out outside and found that there is severe root build up 63 feet out from the clean out where the newer pvc pipe meets the clay pipe. That’s one issue, the other issue is the cast iron house trap. There is a blockage in the house trap as well. Recommend pulling the clean out plug out of the house trap to gain access to the pipe and clear the blockage. Then either jetting or snaking the section of the pipe that has the root ball in it. The section of pipe that has the roots should be excavated and replaced or have a spot repair liner install

Upon arrival the customer said the condenser would stay running even with the thermostat off. Turned he system on and checked pressures. They are normal. Turned it off and the system stayed running. Opened the electrical door to check the components. Found the contactor pulled in even with no 24 volts there. Tapped on it and it opened. The contactor was very burnt and chard. Replace under warranty and tested the system.

System operational, checked pressure’s found levels to be normal, checked electrical, delta t, found ac to be operating, recommend residential replacement due to age (20 plus years old) and wear & tear on system.
