Greg was on time and diagnosed the problem and created a Solution . We are expecting an estimate of repair today !
Dustin Folkes must be a high quality fellow. Leadership spills over to employees. His team, all of them that I’ve met are direct concise, upbeat, and no nonsense. I’m impressed with every interaction and wish all companies operated with such high integrity.
Great. Hardworking folks.
Installed Amana ac system with emergency drain pan and float switch, new T6 thermostat.
Replaced cracked evaporator coil drain pan, and fixed condensate trap was draining back towards unit. Customer may still get small drops of water since inside of unit still wet from the leak
Found pulsating ductwork. Static pressure in ductwork increasing and decreasing. Blower set to medium speed. Set blower to low speed with same results. Ductboard trunk beginning to collapse and lose structural integrity. Recommended replacement of ductwork. Need to call customer to schedule estimate.
Found condenser not energizing. Found electrical fault in contactor relay. Also found dual capacitor heavily rusted and tested out of range. Replaced contactor and capacitor. Tested system operation. Checked running pressures and temperatures. Recommended annual maintenance and duct cleaning.
Turned unit on to see where leaking from. Prior cleared drain lines which seemed to fine. Ran unit for about 5 minutes and noticed bottom of unit getting soaked under evaporator coil drain pan. Evaporator coil drain pan very rusted and leaking from bottom of pan. Will need to order a new pan for customer and call him to schedule repair and cost of item.
Pulled blower housing, and checked heat exchanger throughly, did combustion test, found no issues, system operational, no ac due to disconnect in the off position, adjusted, checked pressure’s, ac operational.
Performed ac tune up, checked all components. Customer is having an issue hearing air pulsating inside the supply vents. I do see we have a supply plenum that extends past the entrance to the actual supply trunk, it may be that the air is building up inside that plenum and creating back pressure in the unit. The supply trunk is older and starting deform, if the structure is the issue the customer would want it replaced.
Second floor system-ductwork undersized. Evaporator coil sizing mismatched. Furnace drain never set for horizontal right side discharge. Gas piping not strapped properly. No fresh air to furnace. Heat exchanger damaged by condensation from heat exchanger filling with water and pouring out through burners. Will need to set appointment for estimate to replace furnace, correct ductwork and other installation issues.
Customer stated multiples time pressing the reset button over the last 2 weeks. Looked through the error codes, found multiple for no flame and a low uA reading from the flame rod. Pulled the flame rod and cleaned it. Took a gas pressure reading of 3.59, took a combustion test and had a high CO, went into the burner set up table booklet the customer had and saw the air band wasn’t at the proper percentage 20%. Raised the air percentage to 30% and got better combustion readings. After I cycled the boiler multiple times and did not have an error occur.
Cleaned and serviced gas boiler.
Clean and service Gas
Estimate to replace Oil system. Only Cathy at the meeting.
Completed annual maintenance on ac system. Found ductboard in attic losing structural integrity. Recommended replacing supply ductwork.
