Service for water leak: Arrived to customers home. Customer has multiple water leaks. Gave the customer a price to repair leak. Allowed me to proceed. After fixing the leak, noticed there were 3 more leaks. Gave a price for that as well and allowed,e to proceed. Ran a piece of pex along the ceiling to temporarily get them water. Told the customer that they need to get a mold specialist to look at the damage. Customer had to leave so I gave them a business card. Customer paid with check.
Estimate: Arrived to the customers home. Customer would like an estimate to install a new bathroom downstairs. Went over the layout and discussed a few options for this project. Wrote up 2 estimates for this project. Mentioned about doing a sewer ejector pit but was not interested. These estimates are rough prices for the project. Will call if there’s any questions.
The customer stated black soot from the boiler. Pulled the flu pipe off the boiler and found it Sooted. Found the breach of the boiler top completely rusted and rotted out. We are not able to get the part right now and it is unsafe to clean the boiler and run it this way. We will need to get the part tomorrow and return to clean it and install the part if we are able to get it then. The boiler may not be Sooted due to this breech and it may be another issue which we will need to figure out when we clean it. Spoke with the landlord, he said this should have been addressed with the cleaning even though during the cleaning the breech was not this bad. Water had leaked into the flu pipe due to the gutters being clogged and it went through the power venter and into the boiler. The customer did nit agree to repairs or pay the diagnostic, he wants to speak with a manager.
Found oil fired furnace tripped upon arrival. Removed nozzle assembly and cleaned end of electrodes and nozzle. Placed back in burner. Checked oil line for any air. Was getting a substantial amount of air from oil line. Checked oil tank and found oil tank almost empty. Oil line comes from the top of the oil tank. Advised customer to have oil company come out to fill the tank , if cant get an oil company out tonight then advised customer to add about 15 to 20 gallons of diesel fuel to get him through the night.

Service for faucet replacement: Arrived to the customers home. Customer would like to replace their kitchen faucet. They supplied their own faucet. Gave the customer a price to replace. Customer allowed me to proceed. Turned off the shutoff valves and disconnected the water lines. Removed the faucet. Installed the new faucet. Reconnected the water lines. Checked for leaks. Cleaned up the work area. Gave the customer a coupon. Customer is very satisfied with the service and is very happy with Folkes home service. Customer paid with a card.
Customer has electric baseboards in condo, the one in living room works when it wants to, and same system up in master bedroom as well works when they want, units are close to 15 years old, baseboards will need to be replaced will need to follow up with customer
Customer had no heat in kitchen zone, thermostat display blank, went to boiler and tried jumping thermostat wires for that zone and nothing happened, tested for continuity between wire and wasn’t getting a reading, customer just had floors in kitchen done and found thermostat wire had been cut, replaced a 6 foot section of thermostat wire and connected it to existing wiring, thermostat came back on and zone valve opened, let system run until supply and return pipes got hot, system operational and working.
Arrived and found a leak coming from the air vent on the boiler. The customer also said he did nit have heat, the boiler would come on but no heat would come out of the radiators. Found no pressure in the boiler due to a bad water feeder. The water feeder was installed very close to the wall and there is no union to break free to remove it. Would need to cut it out and sweat some fittings in and move it further off the wall to make the repair. Gave the customer two options. The customer declined repairs at this time.
Service for stove install: Arrived to the customers home. Customer says they would like their stove to be installed but the conversion kit is missing. Told the customer that they would have to order these parts from the manufacturer or dealer. Customer says that the office spoke with them and said that we provided these parts/order these parts. Tried calling Home Depot but was unsuccessful in finding out any information about the stove. Told the customer that they could try to call an appliance repair company to see if they have these parts and could possibly be installed by them. Apologized to the customer about the confusion. Waived diagnostic fee.
Completed annual clean and service of one gas fired furnace. Removed and cleaned flame sensor. Performed combustion and efficiency analysis. Went over options for whole house humidifier with customer. Also recommend duct cleaning as duct cleaning hasn’t been done before and the home is almost 5 years old.
