Service for pilot light not working. Arrived to the home to find that the burner and pilot are not operating properly. The basement is currently under construction and there is a massive amount of Sheetrock dust and debris in the fire chamber of the water heater. The burner has been building up for quite some time because the system was never shut down and sealed while all the construction dust was in the air. The burner is so caked with soot that it needs to be replaced along with the thermocouple and pilot assembly. Also the water heater flu and fire chamber will have to be cleaned and vacuumed. Tried to contact Amy to get authorization for work so we can go ahead and order the parts, but we were unable to reach her. Left a message and emailed the pictures and the quote over to the address on file. The water heater is inoperable at this time.
