Service for leaking sewer pipe repair 01/05/22 Arrived to job and in the mechanical room there was a leaking sewer pipe where the cleanout was not glued to the abs pipe coming up from the slab that goes to the septic. I replaced the cleanout with a pvc wye and ran about a two foot length of pvc from the cleanout to the pipe coming down from the ceiling. The connections to the existing pipes were made with no hub couplings. Everything is draining correctly with no issues at this time. However I did notice roots coming up from the ground around the pipe where it meets the floor. This is not a concern now but can be in the future. I ran my camera through the baffle of the septic tank as well and found there to be multiple bellies going in to the building. I recorded the footage and will email it to the customer. Aside from that everything is good to go at this point in time and we just need to collect payment from their companies office. Please follow up.
Customer needs to replace indirect tank. Exsisting tank is not big enough for 11 apartments. We informed customer of this last time. Arrived and boiler was at temperature. Boiler fired up 5 times with out us hitting reset. All zones are hot including indirect. They are running out of hot water because tank is not big enough. Relief valve is dripping but with the amount of corrosion and rust on relief valve pipe, relief valve cannot be removed with out damaging piping. Customer should replace indirect as well as boiler.
Arrived and checked the system over. The boiler was running. Supply and returns were hot. Pile for hot water going out was hot. There is only a 40 gallon water heater for an apartment with 11 people in it. This is not enough if people are showering back to back at times. Put an estimate in for an 80 gallon indirect replacement. The old one is leaking a little and heavily corroded. As of right now the system is operational.
Customers oil boiler would not reset, heard loud buzzing noise when power turned on, aquastat relay was buzzing loudly tapped on relay and boiler started, turned power off and repeated tapped relay and boiler came one, aquastat relay is no good, replaced aquastat and tested, cycled boiler 5 times and let run until got up to temperature, circulator running for heat for one apartment that was calling and hot water, did let customer know of some possible items that may start to leak due to rust and age emailed estimate to customer. We bill this customer. System operational and working.
