From start to finish Folkes provided the best customer service. I received the appointment date & time that I wanted. I received a call prior to the technician's arrival time. Technician Danny was on time, courteous, got right to work upon entering the home. He thoroughly explained the condition of the A/C. Also, explained the other services Folkes offers. This was a very pleasant customer service experience. I recommend Folkes.
I do not believe the amount charged was the same as I agreed to when the contract was signed. The technician did not have access to the estimate I signed so I just paid what he asked for. The technician was superb - could not ask for a more helpful and professional person. My low rating on price is because I do not think it was the amount I agreed to.

He was 100% certain, so i replaced the part he said was bad and still nothing. I want him back on saturday. I took off work for this and paid $99 and got nothing. And you are asking $400 to install a $70 part.

Tested each unit individually, each unit has a 22 degree difference while running by itself and when all three units are on together. Pressure readings with all three running is 140 psig and a super heat of 3.4. Let customer know about letting system run more they donâ€™t use it very often and customer took numbers of temperature readings at when he turned it on. But system is cooling and operational.
Found a plugged filter, checked all components, took temperatures and the delta t was 20. System is operating properly.
His general contractor uses Folkes for his own home. Has ductwork but no central AC and oil is heating system. Single family home.
Wire damage to outdoor heat pump from mice. Looked over wiring that had been sealed with tape. Spoke to manufacturer. Checked incoming voltage to system found to be 160v. System requires 240v. Canâ€™t troubleshoot system until voltage is checked by electrician. May need to return for further diagnostics. Manufacturer case number 482943
Found bad condensate pump turning the unit off, replaced and system is operating normally.
Ac tune on one system (Master Bedroom), kids room and grandma den systems are completely empty on Freon, and kitchen zone has bad compressor, recommend residential replacement.
One room barely had air flow to it, found the duct squeezed together by the return I pulled it out and the air flow was much better. Customer also stated the airflow was much better

Performed MA cleaning on 2 ac systems. Checked pressures, blower, coils, capacitors, contactor, fan, duct work, delta t. System for kennel hallways had bad outdoor capacitor, contactor. Replaced both contactor and capacitor. Systems indoor door covering coil was hanging off upon arrival, inspected coil and found fur and dirt covering coil and pan. Cleaned coil and removed debris. Both systems operating normally
Customer stated heat not shutting off. Customer was using ac thermostats to control heat. Shut heat of with correct thermostats and system turned off. Customer purchased one year maintenance agreement. Need to call to schedule ac maintenances for kennel.
Called out for a clogged sewer line. After speaking with the customer regarding the back up in the basement I went to check the sewage ejection pump in the front of the house. After taking the pump out I found an object stuck inside the propeller. I removed the object and reconnected the pump. I also snaked the line from the pump to ensure it wasnâ€™t clogged. The pump motor is burned out and needs to be replaced. An estimate for the job was left and the customer will call back when ready.
Completed annual maintenance on ac system. Please mail customer copy of invoice customer.
Called out to replace a indirect 60 gallon water heater. After getting approval I removed the old heater and installed the new one. Also removed the circulator pump and installed zone valve. The temperature is at 120. Cleaned up and collected payment.
Customer stated smoke detectors going off after new installation. Took combustion, efficiency, draft and smoke test. All readings are normal. Smoke detector may have picked up smoke burning off from new boiler. Also wired zone valve for indirect water heater. Plumber with sweat in to indirect piping.
