Always come through

Not surprise for a bit but Folkes came through again. Always well service from the good folks people. Less than 24 hours later my AC is up and running in the family is happy, what more can I ask for? Noah kept me in communication the whole time was knowledgeable and thorough I didn’t hesitate to have him in my home without me being there, I know I can trust the good Folkes people

Knowledgeable and wisent

As a contractor I really appreciate good service and know how difficult it is to employ people that have a definition to customer service. I’m certainly not easy to impress but I was by Greg and Dillon..... even having them break me disappointing news I trusted and appreciated their knowledge and dedication. Guess I know why they call them ‘the good Folkes people’

Folkes arrived on 01/03/2021 for a no water. Upon arrival I went downstairs to where the well tank and everything are. I noticed that the control box was not connected. I then put the cover back on and the pump kicked on. I then ran water through the hose for a few minutes. Everything is working properly at this time. I then thanked the customer for choosing folkes and left.

Return call for main sewer line dig from the main stack to septic tank. We dug the main line up with a mini excavator and by hand, it was 2 feet down and aproxamately 15ft long. Found a cast iron main sewer line connected with a fernco not bedded in concrete, to SDR that had separated due to the septic tank settling overtime. Installed new PVC pipe with a double Y clean out and tied all existing lines into the main stack with correct pitch. We bedded the new pipe with sand, then tested the new main line for good flow and drainage. We also concreted the holes we made for the new pipe through the house foundation and the septic tank. The line checked out so we back filled and tested the line after backfilling also. It had a great flow into the septic tank. We uncovered outlet of septic tank, opened up the tank to inspect the flow to the distribution box and found the line was clear and the box was good. Each leg of the septic field was flowing as it should. Customer is satisfied with the

Service to replace a burst valve in the woman’s bathroom in bar area. Inspected and determined that the valve was a compression valve which the nut was cracked. Turned water off and replaced the toilet emergency stop valve. Also replace the toilet supply line attached to the old valve as it was also leaking. Also inspected the urinal in. Men’s bathroom and found that the vacuum breaker was not working to stop the flow; causing water to overflow onto the floor in men’s bathroom. Urinal flush valve was disassembled and the vacuum breaker was reseated to allow proper operation. The flow valve was also adjusted as it was set to high. Uninflected drain was obstructed with debris which was cleaned. All work checked. Manager on location authorized all performed work and was happy with completed work. Owner was contacted via phone and payment was received.

The customer had a leak from a ball valve on the boiler. He had a different company come out that did not have the material to fix it. Costco is their company they use right now they have a contract with them through their oil delivery. They will be replacing the leaking air vent. Repaired the piping leak with copper instead of black pipe replaced the expansion tank that was very rusted and then purged the entire system. The customer financed the job. They were approved for $5,000 the job was $1,691.08. Since the financing through service Titian was nit available today I spoke with Alicia in the office and she got it approved through the phone. She will take care of the financing process tomorrow.

Arrived to the properly and inspected the furnace. Found the thermostat which was an old mercury thermostat not making the call for heat. The thermostat was not working due to a break in the wiring which was cut by a contractor. The thermostat is bad and broken and the wire needs to be repaired. The customer did not answer the phone calls from me and I was told to move on without repairing the system.

Service for main sewer line backing up into the basement from the washing machine stand pipe. Customer came downstairs and noticed a lot of sewer water on the floor. Upon arrival we pulled the cleanout in the basement and there was still some water in the sewer line. But it appears to have drained down slowly. Sent the camera down the line and could only get out 20 feet from the cleanout. It looks like the tank is just off the back of the house, so we got permission to hand dig the area where the camera stopped to make sure it was not the baffle in the tank. It is only about 1 foot down. Now that we know it’s not the tank, we can try to snake the sewer main without having to worry about the snake coiling up inside the septic tank. The line may have to be hydro jetted at additional cost if the snake is not able to remove the blockage. Also if there is a break or separation in the pipe we will have to excavate a replace the sewer line from the house out to the septic and install a doub
