Their response was fast and their service was professional.
He was very knowledgable and professional. Diagnosed my problem in a short time.
I am very pleased with the response and time from the agent who answered our call as well as with the home service provided by the technician. Chris was friendly, knowledgeable and a great source of support with our furnace problem.
We recently had the tech here to clean our boiler. He was very professional and the price is very resonable.
Had to replace one of our biggest radiators in our home. Tyler and his other coworker gave us phenomenal service. They spent more then half of their day here making sure the job was done right, along with carrying an extremely heavy radiator down a flight of stairs. Great, friendly and dedicated service. Will always call Folkes if we need any help with our heat or plumbing.
Cleaned serviced oil boiler. Replaced strainer and nozzle. Existing spin on filter is still in good shape. Brushed and vacuumed heat exchanger and exhaust pipe. Reconnected and sealed exhaust pipe. Checked expansion tank, relief valve, air vent, pressure and temp, all zones working properly. Performed combustion reading and placed results on service tag. Also flushed customers water heater, filled up 1 and a half 5 gallon buckets. System running normally.
No hot water from boiler, due to bad oil burner motor, replaced, also bled oil line, tested, system operational.
Dryer vent cleaning. 15 feet of hard pipe running outside. Disconnected piping at 90 degree fittings and cleaned each section individually. Piping was packed full of lint at each 90. Pipes are now clean, checked vent from outside and pipe is now clean from dryer to outside.
No ac. Found refrigerant levels low. Recharged system, delta t is at 20 degrees and pressures are good.
No AC due to system low on r-22, recommend residential replacement, spoke to customer about details regarding r-22, how it’s phased out and the manufacturing is no longer available. Cc on file
No ac Fujitsu system. We were here last year and found leak in evaporator coil. Gave pricing to replace coil last year. Coil was not replaced. Found pressures at 24 psi with unit off, and at 0 with unit running. System is empty. Gave pricing to add refrigerant until customer either replaced coil or put in a new unit. Customer is going to look around with other companies to see if they can do refrigerant and coil for cheaper. System still not cooling. Customer will call if they decide to do the coil through us.
Found primary locked out. Found cad cell and primary defective. Replaced both system operating.
Found boiler off on reset. We were here yesterday, 6/27/21, to bleed oil line. Customer ran out of oil the day prior. Hit reset and boiler fired up. Hit emergency switch on and off 10 times to cycle boiler on and off and boiler ignited and ran each time. Let boiler reach temperature. System is running at this time.
Arrived and found the air handler not coming on. Jumped the wires out at the thermostat and the system started. The thermostat was bad. A So found the condenser denser not coming on due to a bad capacitor. Replaced and tested the system. The customer will leave the wires jumped out and get a nest thermostat to replace it.
Arrived and the customer stated they had an oil fill and the burner stopped working. They ran out of oil. Bled the oil line and reset the burner. No other issues at this time.
Arrived and the customer said everything turns on but it’s not cold. Necked the pressures on the system and they were very low. Went over the r22 situation with the customer. Explained that there is no way to gauge if this recharge will last through the season and made that clear. Recharged the system and took temperatures. The system has a very high head pressure due to the fins on the outdoor coil being pushed in. There are no other issues with the system at this time, they are older systems and anything can happen at any time.
Customer had stated a few days ago second floor wasn’t getting cool, he noticed evaporator coil was frozen when he went to clean filters, hooked up gauges to second flooor condenser pressures slightly low low side at 83 and high side at 201, sub cooling at .1 and super heat at 45. Recharged system with 2 pounds of 410A and checked pressures again. Low side at 110 with a superheat of 18, high side at 230 with a sub cooling of 5.2. Delta T reading at 19.
Ran new vinyl tube for the condensate pump, there was not one ran upon arrival. Started the system after, checked pressures and took temperatures. Pressures are spot on and have a 21 degree delta t.
Performed ac tune up on one system, replaced the air filter and left an extra one as well. No issues to report. System use r22 and went over this with the customer.
Found bad zone valve for 1st floor, which is causing to much heat, replaced, tested, system operational, recommend maintenance on boiler.
