Upon arrival found boiler in hard lockout. Reset tripped primary control and system ran for 5 minutes and shut down in lockout. Found cad cell eye discolored and ignition transformer warped. Replaced both components and system fired. Adjusted air band to drop running ohms and performed combustion test.
No heat 1st ( partial) Floor, spoke to Kurt and Greg about a solution for her system, possibly thinks their might be some type of blockage in lines or there might be a leak, recommended a larger circulator pump in which the customer will have to pay the difference in price and we would take back the old one and or replacing her cast iron radiators and installing baseboards which will help in better flow of water to pass through the lines. Customer will follow up with us on next steps for repairs.
Found first floor zone/radiators cold on call for heat. Circulator pump receiving power, but no hot water movement through circulator into zone. Faulty internal check valve. Replaced first floor circulator pump under warranty, cycled system and radiators in dinning room and by front door getting hot. Returning pump for warranty.
Replace a small section of pipe including the 90 that is leaking Folkes arrived on 12/4/2021 for a leak in the hot water line. Upon arrival I gave a price to replace a small section of the hot water line that had a leak in the 90. Customer agreed to move forward. I began by cutting the section of pipe out and replacing it with new pipe. The customer already had the water off. I then turned the water on and checked for leaks. There are no leaks at this time. I also got all the air out of the boiler and everything is working properly at this time. I then thanked the customer for choosing folkes and left.
No heat 1st floor, air in water line, purged, tested, zone operational. Also checked all other zones and found all getting nice and hot.
No hot water due to shut off valve in closed position on boiler, re-open tested, indirect water heater operational. Told customer to give it about 45min to an hour to receive hot water.
Found grundfos circulator for zone 2 second floor making loud pitched grinding sound when running, took video of noise. Replaced circulator pump, bled radiators and system now running normally. Checked all radiators on second floor and all hot.
Arrived to customers house and was informed we have been here before and that we just need to finish the last 5 vents and the return and supply trunk. Cleaned out the last 5 vents which were dirty along with the return trunk and supply trunk. The return trunk we entered at two spots as it was very dirty and the supply was also cleaned.
