The homeowner informed me that the system on the garage side had been making a popping noise at the disconnect and that the lights had been flickering inside. I made a note of that and went over both systems. I made sure to get the drain lines cleared and did a thorough rinse on both condensers. I also made sure to remove the leaves and debris from the bottom of both condensers. I discovered that the disconnect on the garage side AC has burnt and pitted contacts that were arcing when voltage was applied. I made the homeowner an option to get that disconnect replaced and he elected to have me do the work. I replaced the disconnect and made sure everything was nice and tight. Overall, the systems are in decent shape. They’re both in operational shape and running much better now than they were. Systems are in working order at completion of service.
